Funny & scary travel experiences

I experienced several scary moments during my previous job, especially related to the weather condition. For example, once we had a "overshoot" (landing aborted) because of havy rain and strong wind over Mumbai (Bombay) Airport.
Fortunately at this time, everybody was normally seated and all the cabin was tidy secured for the landing procedure. We didn't have any structure dammage, but my heart was beating very fast and in the meantime I already was mentally preparing myself to brace for impact and revewing the emergency commands and procedure for evacuating the cabin.
When we had the debrifing, once safe inside the airport Arrival Hall, a few of us started to cry.

I tell you of another silly experience I had few years ago, in Venezuela, with my sister. As I already told you, I love to travel and particulary somewhere which is related to "Adventure" and risky business….
In Caracas we used to have "offduty" 7 days: a lot of time to plane some good staff. Amazonas isn't so far… and the south part of Venezuela is just a "corner of earth" unspoiled and still wild even novadays.
We flow to Puerto Ajacucho on the border with Colombia, where the Orinoco River runns trough the country down to the Caribean Sea.
From Puerto Ajacucho we boarded a small boat and we navigated up stream to San Fernando de Atabapo. We spent the night in the boat, at least we tryied hard to get some sleep… until the sky above us opened up and the rain was pooring down.
There wasn't the slightest possibility to keep the eyes away from the shower of rain… and the water which was slowing filling the boat.
I guess my sis loosed her temper and she panic… screeming the hell out of her, talking about pirañas being in the river (actually that was reality !!) and wanting to retourn back to the river-bank.
With her, another person started to act silly… I had to keep firm my sis with force trying to make her to reason.
I just was too tired to keep calm! I hit her with a havy slap in the face. Even if she realised it was for good…. she still haven't forgiven me for doing that…
